Dennis Stevens trained as a Chartered Accountant with a small firm in north Hertfordshire.  After qualifying he spent a number of years with Thomson McLintock & Co (subsequently KPMG) running public company audits and special projects.

After leaving the accounting profession, he spent a number of years in international banks based in London. Starting in the finance area he moved on to manage the whole support services for Europe for CIBC. During this time he identified a special interest in managing projects for IT and strategic changes.
